Morphological changes in liver and intestines of rabbits with an improved method of treatment of coccidiosis

Summary. Authors studied morphological changes in the liver and intestines of rabbits with coccidiosis after various therapy regimens. Toltrex 2,5 chemical coccidiostatic was used as an anticoccidial drug, 1 ml of which contains toltrazuril - 25 mg as an active substance (Mucinol Extra) was used as a probiotic. For the experiment, 3 groups of rabbits with coccidiosis (10 heads each group) were formed, which were treated according to different schemes. The animals of the first group were given an anticoccidium drug according to the instructions, the second group was given an anticoccidium drug in combination with a probiotic, the third group was not given drugs. In 33 all groups of rabbits, coprological studies were carried out by the Fulleborn method to identify coccidia oocysts. According to the results of the studies, the extent and intensity of the effectiveness of treatment regimens was calculated. 30 days after the end of therapy, the rabbits were slaughtered for histological examination of the liver and intestines. As a result of the conducted studies, it was found that the treatment based on the complex use of Toltrex 2,5 anticoccidium drug in a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 1 liter of water for 48 hours and Mucinol Extra probiotic drug in a dose of 1 g per 1 liter of water for 10 days in a row, allowed 100% of rabbits to be completely free from eimeria on the 9th day of experience and improves regenerative processes in the small intestine and liver.
