Data on the dynamics of changes in the concentration of thyroid hormones of the thyroid gland and thyroid-stimulating hormone of the pituitary gland under the influence of an environmentally friendly Amirasol G(S)-Z lick briquette in the conditions of the mountainous biogeochemical province of the Republic of Dagestan are presented in the article. Studies have established that the average concentration of thyroxine and triiodthyronine of thyroid hormones in the blood serum of experimental cows before the use of the lick briquette was lower, and the thyroid-stimulating hormone of the pituitary gland, on the contrary, was higher in comparison with the physiological norm, which indicates a decrease in the functional activity of the thyroid gland. The use of the lick briquette in the diets of cows for three months contributed to a significant increase in the concentration of T4 and T3 in the blood serum of dairy cows, respectively, by 69.74 and 242.30%, and thyroid-stimulating hormone, on the contrary, decreased by 112.96% compared with the control group, which indicates the normalization of the thyroid status of the body of cows due to iodine, which is part of the lick briquette. Studies have shown that the dynamics of changes in thyroid hormones T4 and T3 of the thyroid gland and thyroid-stimulating hormones of the pituitary gland in the blood serum of dairy cows are directly dependent on the level of iodine in the diet of animals. The obtained data indicate that the environmentally friendly Amirasol G(S)-Z briquette improves the thyrotropic function of the pituitary gland and the secretory activity of the thyroid gland. Keywords: large horned cattle, cows, blood serum, iodine, hormones, thyroxine, triiodothyronine, thyroid-stimulating hormone, environmentally friendly Amirasol G(S)-Z lick briquette, biogeochemical province.
