Summary. Obstetric and gynecological medical examination is a set of veterinary measures aimed at the timely detection, prevention and treatment of diseases of the reproductive organs and the mammary gland, the preservation of the reproductive ability and productivity of animals, their fertilization within the time limits stipulated by the technology, and obtaining a healthy, viable offspring. Clinical examination is recommended to be carried out in the fall when animals are transferred to stall keeping and at the end of the stall period. The studies were carried out by the authors in the experimental farm of the Vladimir region on a complex with extensive animal husbandry and a complex with intensive animal husbandry. At each complex, studies were carried out on three groups of Black-and-White cows, 15 heads in each: freshly calved, at the peak of lactation and dry. Obstetric and gynecological medical examination and a complex of mammological examinations of cows in experimental farms were carried out in several stages: in December 2021 and March 2022. The authors carried out control over the breeding stock, conducted a gynecological examination of infertile cows, an ultrasound examination of the mammary gland and a study for mastitis, gynecological therapy was prescribed and mammologically sick cows. Monthly analysis of the physiological and clinical state of the herd, diagnosis of subclinical mastitis in lactating cows, induction of sexual cycles in barren cows, and differentiated treatment of problem animals were carried out. It has been established that the effectiveness of treatment and stimulation in infertile females is closely related to the biochemical status of the organism. The widespread use of obstetric and gynecological medical examinations with mammological examinations allows for early diagnosis, which prevents the development of severe chronic pathological processes in the body, as it allows timely assessment of the diet, the introduction of dietary nutrition, the use of therapeutic and stimulating drugs in infertile females.
