Summary. Probiotics allow to improve processes of digestion and metabolism in an organism of poultry, increase its productivity and economic indices of production. Purpose of research was to determine influence of probiotic feed additive based on lactic acid and propionic acid microflora on quail egg productivity and production quality. Probiotic feed additive – liquid mixture of propionic acid and lactic acid microorganisms grown in lactic-plant medium – was used in experiments. Probiotic includes association of following types of bacteria: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactococcus lactis, Propionibacterium shermanii, grown on a nutrient medium, which is based on lactic whey, enriched with an extract of tomato juice. Quail of Japanese breed of egg direction were the object of scientific research. Results of studies showed that use of probiotic feed additive contributed to increase egg productivity to 12.24%. Feed intake of quail in experimental group was greater than in the control 8.0%. Results of morphological indices of blood showed that the number of red blood cells from quail of experimental group were more to 5.31% compared with the control and hemoglobin – to 2.92%. Biochemical parameters of blood of all groups were within the physiological norms. Results of study of quail eggs’ quality indices showed that weight of eggs in experimental group was higher compared to the control to 7.48%; shape index was 81.47% against 77.52% in the control, eggs was higher density 0.010 g/cm3; shell thickness – to 16.66%; protein index – 0.56% and yolk index – to 0,18%. Obtained results indicated efficacy of the probiotic feed additive use in poultry.
