CHANGES IN ORGAN OF VISION AT INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN CARNIVORES

Degtyarenko A.V.

Summary. Infectious animal diseases cause significant economic losses in agriculture, trouble owners of small animals and threaten the health of people. Epizootological, clinical, microbiological and virological data have been analyzed. Changes in organs of vision of dogs and cats in the form of conjunctivitis, keratitis, uveitis, chorioretinitis, retinal detachment and ophthalmatrophia are observed associated with leptospirosis, distemper, chlamydia, mycoplasma, calicivirus, feline rhinotracheitis, infectious peritonitis virus (PIF), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), canine infectious hepatitis. As a result of research it is recommended to diagnose diseases by taking into account clinical signs and general condition of an animal, as well as to appoint an adequate and timely treatment, guided by the determined causes of the pathological process and not just put on symptomatic medication.

Keywords: organ of vision, ophthalmic pathology, keratitis, therapy, uveitis, conjunctivitis, infectious diseases, carnivores.
