Abstract. This paper presents the results of a helminthological examination of rabbits kept in 8 private farmsteads in the Gust-Khrustalny district of the Vladimir region, in order to diagnose passalurosis caused by nematodes belonging to the species Passalurus ambiguus (Rudolphi, 1819) and to study the prevalence of the disease. As a result of microscopy of biomaterial from 112 rabbits, eggs of helminths of this species were found in 52 samples. The prevalence of invasion was 46.4%. Passalurosis was diagnosed in 5 of the 8 private farmsteads. Clinical signs of the disease were manifested by restlessness of animals, itching, scratching of the skin in the anus, and the formation of excoriations. The article is illustrated with original photographs.

Keywords: helminths, Passalurus ambiguus, passalurosis, nematodes, diagnostics, prevalence of the disease.
