Summary. Wild boar, one of the wild representatives of the pig family (Suidae), living in vast areas, is a valuable hunting commercial species. Wild boar plays an important role in distribution of some zoonotic and zooanthroponotic invasions, acting as the main, intermediate and reservoir hosts. The aim of our work was to study the species composition of S. scrofa nematodes in foreign countries. Analysis of scientific works devoted to study of boar helminthes, included into international databases, was carried out. Data on the species composition of boar nematodes in the context of far-abroad countries are given. The species posing danger to human health are marked. The obtained data indicate that wild boars harbor at least 25 parasitic nematode species belonging to 15 families. At the same time, 6 species pose a danger to human health. Nematodes are localized mainly in the gastrointestinal tract (Ascaris suum, Trichuris suis, Oesophagostomum dentatum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Ascarops strongylina, Physocephalus sexalatus, Globocephalus urosubulatus, Gongylonema pulchrum, Gnathostoma hispidum, Bourgelatia diducta, Capillaria spp. Strongyloides ransomi) respiratory (Metastrongylus spp.) and excretory (Dioctophyme renale, Stephanurus dentatus) systems, and muscle tissue (Trichinella spp.). Wild boar parasites are studied in Europe in Spain, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Switzerland, in Asia in Iran and Japan, in North America in the USA, in South America in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. It is necessary to consider the risks of infection with parasitic nematodes when visiting wild boar habitats and eating meat of this animal species.
