Summary. Traumatism in animals is one of topical issues of modern veterinary medicine. The most widespread type of traumatism remains wound traumatism. For many veterinary experts there is a question of terms of wound healing in animals, and application of the complex antimicrobic preparations, having antibiotics in their structure or not containing those. Comparison of medicative strength of a preparation "Gentadiovet" and uncture "Levomekol" at wounds in large horned cattle was carried out by the authors. Animals were divided into two groups. In each group use of preparation was preceded by mechanical cleaning of wounds. The compared preparations were put every 24 hours. Efficiency of preparations was determined by the following indicators: reduction of puffiness of tissue and hyperemia, emergence of granulations, beginning of cuticularization, decrease in painful reaction. According to results of researches medical strength of Gentadiovet was higher than the medicative strength of uncture Levomekol: reparative processes in the first group (Gentadiovet) proceeded for 2-3 days faster than in the second group (Levomekol). In the first group of animals complete wound healing occurred on the 15th day, and in the second group on the 18th day.

Key words: traumatism, infected wounds, reparative regeneration, Gentadiovet, uncture Levomekol, aseptics, antiseptics, medicative strength, granulation tissue, swelling, scarring.
