Use of biotechnological methods of breeding to improve the economic efficiency of beef production

USE OF BREEDING BIOTECHNOLOGICAL METHODS TO IMPROVE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF BEEF PRODUCTION

Summary. Reproductive features of beef cows were studied in the article. New data revealed the influence of particular indicators of reproduction for the production of meat per 1 head. Authors presented and summarized the main features of the reproductive and economically useful signs of Charolais compared to standard, the technological parameters of beef cattle based on data and accounting zootechnical and veterinary inspection of livestock. It was found that the best indicator of reproduction of livestock in this industry is to produce 100 calves (100%) per 100 cows available at the beginning of the year the herd, since in this case the production of meat on 1 head of young stock will be more than 148 kg per year. At the same time it turned out that in the preparation of 85 heads of calves per 100 cows, the reduction in beef production is 48 kg per head per year 1. A similar pattern was observed for the exponent of reproduction – 60 goals, which entails an increase in the relative cost of production, which reaches 148% of the base (at 100% output of calves). Authors have developed a method for determining and predicting annual meat productivity Charolais cows during the period of their productive economic use. To increase the production of beef is recommended the use of modern biotechnology techniques herd reproduction such as artificial insemination and embryo transfer, insemination of cows seed, split by gender.
