Enhancement of biological potential in Japanese quails using probiotic feed additives

Lysenko Yu. A., Petenko A. I.

Summary

Use of the probiotic "Probiolakt" and a new feed probiotic supplement in quail feeding optimizes their hematological and biochemical parameters, resulting in increase of survival rates by an average of 8%. Egg production increased by 7-11%, the morphological and biochemical parameters of eggs improved, namely egg weight increased, and the content of carotenoids and vitamins A and B2 enhanced. Therefore, we recommend the use of probiotic complex "Probiolakt" and a new probiotic feed supplements at a dose of 0,2% per unit of feed during the Japanese quail growth.

Key words: biological potential, quail, probiotics, probiolact, hematology, safety, egg production, biochemistry.
