Summary. Ulan-Ude is regularly included in the list of cities of Russia with the most unfavorable ecological situation. There are isolated areas with a higher incidence of small pet diseases with oncological etiology, which coincide with zones with a very high level of pollution in the atmospheric surface layer. Atmospheric air is the most significant factor, affecting the human and animals day and night. The high concentration of various pollutants leads to the development of various diseases, including cancer. The analysis of climatic and geographical features of the city, its territorial-economic aspects, showed that they contribute to the formation of zones with the highest level of pollution of a ground layer of atmospheric air of various pollutants, many of which have carcinogenic activity. The data were confirmed by results of chemical analysis of samples of snow cover in these areas. The city is situated in intermountain basin contributes to the accumulation of industrial emissions in the atmosphere. The level of anthropogenic load on these areas depends on the conditions that determine the diffusing capacity of the atmosphere and a potential source of contamination. The main factors influencing the development of oncological pathology in small domestic animals in the city of Ulan-Ude are age, gender and breed of animal. It is necessary to be taken into account in the formation of risk groups of small animals in cancer.
