Abstract. The purpose of the study was to analyze the morphological changes in the lymphoid tissue associated with the bronchi in guinea pigs immunized with the antigenic complex of BCG with betulonic acid (AC BCG + BA) before experimental infection with a virulent mycobacteria culture. The experiment was conducted on 15 guinea pigs, which were divided into three groups of 5 animals: the group No. 1 (control) - there was injected subcutaneously of the animals with saline in a volume of 0.5 ml; the group No. 2 - there was administered the AC BCG + BA in the same way at a rate of 0.5 mg/ml protein; the group No. 3 - there was introduced the BCG vaccine intradermally at a rate of 0.1 mg in 0.1 ml of saline. The animals of all groups there were subcutaneously infected with a virulent culture of M. bovis (strain 14) at a dose of 0.001 mg/ml after 30 days and there were euthanized its by ether anesthesia with the selection of lung pieces from areas without visible specific changes for histological studies after 45 days. The analysis of morphological changes in the lungs showed that the introduction of the experimental conjugate induces a significant decrease in the reaction of broncho-associated lymphoid tissue, characterized by a decrease in the average diameter, radius, area of lymphatic follicles and its activity, as well as a visually observed increase in the number of immunocompetent lymphoid cells producing antibodies, which indicates stimulation of the humoral link of immunity.
