Currently, despite all the measures taken by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Rosselkhoznadzor to regionalize the territory of the Russian Federation for infectious animal diseases, the statuses of subjects for many of them have not yet been determined. As of May 28, 2024, the status of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, including for the Moscow region, has not been determined for 62 subjects of the country. This paper presents the results of 4-year epizootological supervision of IBR in the territory of the specified subject of the Russian Federation. As a result, livestock farms were established in which field strains of bovine herpesvirus type 1 - the causative agent of cattle herpesvirus - are circulating, located in the east and west of the Moscow region, a field variant of the cattle herpesvirus was isolated, the influence of the quality and completeness of antiepizootic measures on the epizootic situation of cattle herpesvirus in farms was studied.
