Summary. For the majority of biologically active substances of green mass of plants that play a role as antioxidants and biostimulants, there is practically no alternative artificial replacement that makes the use of natural plant food supplements in feeding of animals and poultry perspective. Fundamentally new way out of the problem is the use of amaranth grass meal hydrolyzate in cattle and poultry breeding. On the 90th day total protein concentration in the blood of birds of the second experimental group increased by 5.7%, in the third group – increased in comparison with the control by 14.0%. This regularity by total protein was observed in the study of blood on the 115th day of life. Glucose levels in the blood of turkeys of 60 days of age of the first, second and third experimental groups were respectively higher by 0.12, 0.1 and 0.24 mmol/l than in the control group. On the 115th day the glucose concentration in the blood of experimental groups was increased by 2.2-4.5% over control. Consequently, Extrafit feeding intensified carbohydrate metabolism. Blood cholesterol in turkeys of experimental groups was at the control level. Supplementation with grass meal hydrolyzate amaranth had a positive impact on the biochemical processes. Adding of amaranth grass meal hydrolyzate in the diet of turkeys had a positive influence on the biochemical processes. The most expressed influence of Extrafit was noted when used in the concentration of 2 and 4% by weight of the feed.

Keywords: turkeys, diet, biologically active additive, amaranth, grass meal hydrolyzate, Ekstrafit, antibiotic, blood serum, biochemical blood indices, total protein.
