Summary. Probiotics effect on metabolic processes in organism of poultry is studied in the article. Bacell feed additive includes association of three species of bacteria isolated from the gastro-intestinal tract of animals and poultry. Ready additive is a dry free-flowing powder with a faint, specific odor.

To assess the effect on metabolism authors carried out an experiment in which peculiarities of the feed additive Bacell were studied depending on the dosage of its application to the mixed fodder for broiler chickens cross "SK Russ-6". It was found that morphologic parameters of blood in broiler chickens were within normal limits. In comparison with control group in all experimental groups increase of erythrocytes, hemoglobin content in the blood, concentration of total protein, lysozyme, and bactericidal activity was observed. Bacell feed additive use promoted increased levels of iron and calcium in the blood serum. Cholesterol level reduced in blood serum of broiler chickens.

Increase of hemoglobin and red blood cells, as well as lysozyme and bactericidal activity in the blood of broiler chickens of experimental groups indicates an increase in non-specific resistance of poultry. Authors proved that the high content of hemoglobin and red blood cells in the experimental groups indicates the influence Bacell feed additive on mineral metabolism, and consequently the activation of hematopoietic function. Optimal results have been obtained in experimental group where Bacell was injected in dose of 0,2%.

Key words: probiotics, bacteria, feed additive, metabolism, blood serum, enzymes, lactic acid bacteria, poultry industry, broiler chickens, ration.
