Summary Viral respiratory infections of calves are still one of the most pressing problems of veterinary medicine and cause of significant economic losses in livestock. In the traditional technology of animal husbandry account for 33,2-44,0% of all cases, young animals, while industrial - over 60%. In order to increase safety and efficiency of calves preventive and therapeutic measures are increasingly using drugs that stimulate the natural resistance of the organism, and immunoreactivity. Introduction to animals inducers of interferon, which is triggered when the state of antiviral protection while stimulating other mechanisms of specific and nonspecific resistance. Some of the medications of this direction are immunomodulators Provest and Westin, which we have taken for the experiment. In analyzing the results, the calves experimental group, compared with the control, was an increase in the number of T- and B-lymphocytes, T-killers. Medications stimulate the reduction ofcirculating immune complexes in the blood of calves first and second groups. Medications have immunomodulatory properties capable of increasing the effectiveness of antiviral vaccines, to stimulate recovery processes and nonspecific resistance in immunodeficient states, to strengthen the processes of growth and development of animals. Thus, introduction of Vestin and held in conjunction with a vaccine against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis and parainfluenza-3, not only harmless, but a positive effect on body weight gain and safety of young suppresses the multiplication of viruses and stimulates humoral immunity post-vaccination.
