Morphobiological features of siberian grayling (Thymallus arcticus, Thymallidae) of the Polar Urals

Summary

Characteristic of a number of populations of grayling of Arctic Urals is presented in the article. Authors described the features of the external appearance of grayling, shows the main diagnostic features of the counting and plastic indexes, marked many scales northern populations of grayling, but also found a mosaic manifestation of this trait. Most of the parameters characterize the grayling of the Polar Urals as a subspecies of Thymallus arcticus, although marked, and interpopulation differ in mean values of indicators morphotype in the region. Basic elements of grayling biology are: population structure, age, growth, nutrition, reproduction.
