Abstract. The objective of this study is to create alternative means of protecting and stimulating the development of animals and birds in early life. The use of cationic surfactants is one of the ways to solve this problem. Quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC) are a group of substances with pronounced antibacterial properties and the ability to act on a wide range of microorganisms. These compounds are actively used as disinfectants and biocides in medicine and veterinary medicine. The scientific literature of both domestic and foreign origin emphasizes the need to develop new QAC and expand their fields of application. Synthetic fatty acids, fatty alcohols, various oils and fatty amines are used as initial components for their synthesis. The present study presents the results of studying the effect of myristic acid 3-dimethylaminopropylamide (surfactant 726) on young meat breed chickens. It was found that the average weight of the glandular stomach in chickens of the experimental group who received 0.01% aqueous solution of surfactant 726 for 14 days was 5% more than in chickens of the control group; the average weight of the muscular stomach was 7% more than in the control group; the average weight of the intestine with contents in chickens of the experimental group It was 10% higher than the same indicators of the control group; the average liver weight was 6% higher in the chickens of the experimental group. It should be noted that differences in the mass of glandular and muscular stomachs, as well as liver, are statistically unreliable, while differences in the mass of intestines of experimental and control chickens are highly significant (p>0.999). The studied morphometric parameters of organs in chickens of the experimental group indicate a tendency to increase body weight and internal organs of chickens. The effect of growth stimulation is observed due to the use of surfactant 726, a quaternary ammonium compound.

Keywords: surfactants, quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC), myristic acid amide, morphometric parameters of chickens (live weight, hydrogen index of stomach and intestinal contents), determination of the residual ammount of surfactants 726.
