Summary. Studies were conducted on the incidence of sheep of the Trans-Baikal breed. Forty-four species of helminths were identified in the digestive tract of sheep of the Aginsky district of Trans-Baikal region, including trematodes, cestodes, nematodes and protozoa of the genus Eimeria. The prevalence of nematodes (Strongylata) and cestodes (Moniesia) was noted. Of the strongylates, the most important are helminths of the genera Ostertagia, Trichostrongilus, Nematodius, Bunostomum and Hemonchus; the least are Marshallagia, Habertia, Esophagostoma and Cooperia. The most important helminths of the digestive tract of sheep are common in both steppe and forest-steppe zones. The extent of invasion, regardless of age, is higher in the steppe zone than in the forest-steppe zone. However, there are no characteristic patterns in the intensity of invasion.

Keywords: small ruminants, sheep, invasive diseases, digestive tract, helminthiasis, monitoring, invasion extent, invasion intensity.
