An aggregate-resistant feed additive has been created, which consists of nanosized selenium with a particle size of 20-60 nm, lipophilic and hydrophilic vitamins. Its use in growing broiler chickens of meat crosses (Cobb 500) leads to obtaining not only products of proper sanitary condition, but also containing an essential nutrient. These products can be classified as ‘high selenium content’ in accordance with GOST R 55577-2013. Remember that the lack and excess of selenium can lead to undesirable toxic effects. Therefore, it is important to study aspects of the possible embryotoxic and teratogenic effects of the obtained products. The study used 50 white non-linear rats as a laboratory model. Group No. 1 served as control. Laboratory animals of group No. 2 had a diet containing poultry meat obtained from broiler chickens using an aggregation-resistant vitamin-mineral complex in the growing technology. It was experimentally established that the use of functional poultry products (poultry meat) does not cause special embryotoxic changes and does not initiate birth mortality. Pre-implantation mortality was 3.1±0.69 in group No. 1 and in group No. 2 it was 1.7±0.81. Post-implantation death was 4.1±0.77 and 3.4±0.45 in the control and experimental groups, respectively. The parameter of fetal survival did not have statistically significant differences in both groups. Examination of the embryos showed no signs of deformity. At the same time, the offspring of group No. 2 demonstrated more dynamic development and growth in postnatal ontogenesis. The dynamics of weight gain was on average 2.35% higher in comparison with the offspring of the control group. Keywords: vitamin-mineral complex, functional products, poultry breeding, selenium, vitamins, nanoparticles, embryotoxic effect, teratogenic effect, rats. References: 1.
