Epizootic situation on leucosis in Krasnodar region

Summary. Authors present data on the implementation of the regional program for bovine leucosis indicating declines in infection and morbidity of cattle, as well as an increase in the number of agri-governmental organizations favored by leucosis of cattle. Statistical analysis on leucosis for more than five years is presented in the article. Prior to 2004, the level of infection and morbidity increased to 50% and 3,1%, respectively. In the period from 2004 to 2012, infection of cattle has decreased from 50% to 5,6%, and the percentage of infected animals reduced to 1,2%. During this period, 140 farms (104 thousand heads of cattle) were made healthier.

As a result of antileukemic measures epizootic situation for leucosis in agricultural organizations and private farms of citizens improved.
