The decrease in the rate of reproduction in animal husbandry in recent years has been facilitated by the widespread symptomatic infertility of cows, one of the main causes of which are gynecological diseases: metritis, mastitis and ovarian pathology. The article presents the results of a comparative assessment of the effect of various doses of the immunomodulator Polyoxidonium®-vet solution on the incidence and reproductive performance in cows. The study Polyoxidonium®-vet solution at a dosage of 6 mg/head increased the percentage of pregnancy and reduced the loss of animals after calving by 50% compared with the control group (70% of the studied animals). When using the Polyoxidonium®-vet solution at a dose of 12 mg/head, the insemination frequency rate was 26.9% lower than in the first and 34.6% in the control groups. The service period at a dose of 12 mg/head was 22.4 days shorter than at a dose of 6 mg/head. As a result of the research, the authors obtained reliable data indicating that with reproduction problems in cows, the level of platelets decreases by 32%. The phagocytic capacity in animals with reproductive problems after 120 minutes of incubation is lower than in healthy animals, as is the activity of the microbicidal system of neutrophilic granulocytes, which indicates a lower degree of lysis of microbial cells. The presented data are interesting, they should be taken into account when conducting a survey of the population of farms that are unsuccessful in the reproduction of cattle and developing recreational measures.
