Histological changes at limphoid bovine leukemia

Summary. The article presents the results of histological changes in organs and tissues of the wide spread lymphoid form of bovine leukemia in agricultural enterprises of Dagestan Republic. Lymphoid leukemia was the most numerous and accounted 56 (81.2%) cases. Histological examination in the spleen and lymph nodes was observed erasure of the pattern due to diffuse proliferates from newly formed cells of the lymphoid series in the interfollicular spaces of the spleen and paracartical pulp and sinuses of the lymph nodes. At the same time, the cellular composition had polymorphism, there were many lymphoblast and prolymphocytes having a rounded or rounded-oval shape and few true lymphocytes. The nucleus is irregular in shape, the chromatin filaments are rough, and were unevenly located. Dividing cells with two or more nucleoli were also found. Proliferation of endothelial and adventitious cells of vessels was clearly expressed, in places histiocytes, reticular cellular elements and cells of the plasma series were observed. As a rule, these changes were accompanied by atrophy of a part of the parenchyma of the affected organs, dystrophy and necrobiosis of the remaining cellular elements. In the kidneys, liver, heart, abomasums and other organs, the newly formed cells of the lymphoid series formed focal clusters or were located diffusely between the cells of the organ parenchyma. The accumulation of such cells was detected in the lumens of the capillaries and their infiltration of the interstitial tissue was noted.
