Kovalenko N.A., Kovalenko A.V. Summary Landrace boars of Austrian selection were introduced in Rostov region to decrease deficiency of "fathers" specialized pig meat-type breeds and their use in regional reproduction systems. Object of our research was to study reproductive qualities of boars from lines Canada, Greysser and Yalta in the process of adaptation. Quality of semen was determined according to the guidelines in pig artificial insemination. Reproductive qualities were estimated according to generally accepted zootechnical indices. Certain differences between compared animal lines in the volume of ejaculate and in the total semen quantity in ejaculate determined by the genotype were observed. Line belonging has not exerted any influence on reproductive qualities of inseminated sows. Key words: stock pig-breeding, Landrace, boars, semen production, reproductive qualities.
