This article presents the data of studies of the histomorphological structure of the mammary gland of cats with mastitis. In the course of the conducted studies it was established that the histostructure of the mammary gland in cats with mastitis is characterized by sharply dilated acini, excretory ducts, sharp deformation and desquamation of the lining epithelium; pronounced edema of the interstitial space. In purulent-catarrhal mastitis, diffuse neutrophilic-macrophage infiltration is noted in the interstitium, sometimes with the formation of acute abscesses in the form of cavities filled with tissue detritus and leukocytes, macrophages. In the vascular bed, sharp ectasia of the lumen with stasis and focal thrombosis, perivascular lymphoid infiltrates, focal destruction of the vessel walls, hemorrhages are observed. Keywords: mammary gland, milk packages, carnivores, animals, cats, histostructure, histomorphological examination.
