UDC 619:616.98:579 Luchkin A.G. Summary. Problems of keeping the cattle's population health, preserving breeding stock reproductive ability, improving a cow's serviceability are the main indexes of dairy breeding, its profitability and investment attractiveness. It was found that a significant part of the population annually goes through the different diseases, but a certain amount of the cows for a number of reasons doesn't participate in the population reproduction, reducing its serviceability. The problem of comfortable animal management is considered to be a constant concern not only for animal owners, but for veterinarians too. During the number of years, authors have studied the main causes of animal organism discomfort with the habitat and found that under the conditions of basic estation annually over 60% of cattle stock have deviations in the health condition, which includes 26,7% of cases caused by deviations in their digestive system. On the basis of the conducted researches was proved that in the population of cattle in dairy breeding of basic estation of the Moscow region 20-50% of the cows don't produce an offspring; about 13,6+0,7% of the cows drops out of herd's rotation being in calf; 23,4-37,9% of the cows have lower metabolic indexes (homeostasis); 2,6-34,1% of the cows have shown the level of carotin, protein, calcium, phosphorus and alkali reserve higher than physiological standart, which also confirms deviation of their homeostasis. Key words: large horned cattle, dairy cattle, breeding stock, pregnancy, population health, productivity, epizootological experiment, screening tests, manifestation, subclinical deviations.
