Noninfectious arthritis in poultry industry

Summary. Occurrence of arthritis with hydrarthrosis is an important problem of industrial poultry farming. Joint inflammation, usually accompanied by the inability to move, take food and water, is the reason for their rejection of the herd. It was found that this reduces the total population. Analysis of the data gives reason to believe that acute inflammation of the joints – arthritis – are the main reason for poultry culling. Pathological changes in the liver, kidney and spleen related to arthritis and hydrarthrosis allow to assume a trigger autoimmune process. Analysis of synovial fluid of chicken with hydrarthrosis found violations of its composition and properties. Biopsy of the synovial membrane with morphological study of the synovial tissue is an important diagnostic technique. Fibrin deposition on the surface of the synovial membrane and in interstitial tissue, thickening of the synovial membrane, which was associated with dilation of blood vessels and edema, was established. Necrotic foci with erosion on the surface of the synovial membranes were registered. Ensuring optimal rearing program comes to the fore in the poultry industry.
