ENERGY OF GROWTH , MEAT AND WOOL PRODUCTIVITY OF SHEEP OF MANYCH MERINO BRED AND THEIR CROSSBREDS WITH MEAT MERINO

Summary

Research on studies of the energy of growth, meat and wool productivity of progeny, received from producers of linear and nonlinear Manych merino breed, in comparison with their peers, derived from meat merino, allowed to determine new direction in the selection of local fine-wool sheep breeds, that will require revision of some selective and technological processed as well as improvement of feeding and maintenance.

Key words: meat merino, meat and wool productivity, purebred and crossbreed progeny, growth energy, slaughter weight, wool clip, wool quality, fiber fineness.
