Summary. Mycoplasm infection is a fairly common etiological factor in human and animal diseases, especially against the background of weakened immunity. Most mycoplasmas are representatives of opportunistic microflora. The presence of pathogenic mycoplasma species in a living organism leads to prolonged forms of the disease and is accompanied by significant treatment costs. Various strains of mycoplasmas are used in PCR diagnostics for mycoplasm infection in humans and animals. Pet owners do not always pay attention to the presence of this infection. Differentiation of mycoplasm infection from other clinically similar diseases requires the qualified help of a diagnostician. PCR diagnostics is the most accurate and indemand method of identifying the causative agent of mycoplasmosis. According to the Hemotest laboratory, out of 25 samples taken from a person with respiratory symptoms of the disease, studies were conducted on Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Mycoplasma hominis. At the same time, out of 5 (20%) positive samples, Mycoplasma pneumoniae was isolated in 4 samples and Mycoplasma hominis in 1 sample. he veterinary clinic for the diagnosis of infectious diseases of cats and dogs received 75 samples of biomaterial per month for research on PCR diagnostics. Of these, 16 are suspected of mycoplasmosis with respiratory symptoms of the disease. Mycoplasma felis DNA was found in 1 (13%) sample at examining samples from 8 cats with the V-5426 RealBest-Vet Mycoplasma felis DNA test, while 7 samples were negative. Mycoplasma DNA was differentiated in 2 (25%) samples as Mycoplasma cynos in at examining samples from 8 dogs with the V-5408 RealBest-Vet Mycoplasma canis / Mycoplasma cynos DNA set. Now, the PCR method is the most accurate and promising for the diagnosis of mycoplasmosis in humans and animals. Vector Best PCR reagent kits expand the possibilities of making a correct diagnosis for mycoplasmosis in various animal species.
