Summary. The normal flora of a living organism is formed under the influence of environmental conditions and affects the formation of immunity. Analysis of bacteriological studies of the intestinal microbiota of animals for the presence of normal microflora of bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family is necessary to substantiate the risks of gastrointestinal disorders. The authors conducted research in a vivarium of laboratory animals and in the research and testing laboratory of the basic department of epizootology and microbiology of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The object of the research was the feces of laboratory rats of the Vistar line at the age of 1.5 months, weighing 280300 g. During the experiment, the rats were administered a synbiotic composition developed by the authors based on Lactobacillus acidophilus 13, Enterococcus faecium K-50 and Inulin before feeding. Whey and a composition of probiotic microorganisms were used as a control. Microbiological studies determined the qualitative and quantitative composition of microflora in the feces of experimental animals. A study of fecal microbiota from the intestines of rats showed that a synbiotic composition based on a lyophilized culture of Lactobacillus acidophilus 13, a lyophilized culture of Enterococcus faecium K-50 with the addition of Inulin has a beneficial effect on increasing the number of lactobacilli from 5.72% (3 days) to 28.4% (10 days) and reduces the number of coliforms from 26.4% (3 days) to 43.5% (10 days), in comparison with feeding whey to rats. These studies show the influence of the synbiotic composition developed by the authors on the normal intestinal microbiota and a reduction in the risk of gastrointestinal disorders caused by a possible endogenous increase in coliforms included in the normal flora of a living organism.
