Summary. The article presents the results of assessing the viability and virulence (pathogenicity) after long-term storage of strains of Aeromonas genus bacteria of three species - Aeromonas hydrophila, Aeromonas veronii, Aeromonas salmonicida, isolated from parenchymal organs of carp, cupid and trout with clinical signs of bacterial infection. After 40 days from laying for storage at ‘subzero’ temperatures (t= -196°C, -80°C and -20°C), 100% preservation was revealed only in Aeromonas salmonicida. Growth properties decreased in Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas veronii, and a decrease in virulence was revealed in Aeromonas veronii. When stored at ‘plus’ temperatures (t= +4 - +8°C) noted 100% preservation of growth properties in all three types of aeromonads, but at the same time, virulence decreased in Aeromonas veronii and Aeromonas salmonicida.
