Summary. Liver is involved in many biochemical processes in the body, keeping it in a certain balance. Reducing the barrier function of the liver is accompanied by accumulation in the blood and tissues of harmful substances causing degeneration and necrosis of organs. Many medicines have undesirable side effects and are ineffective. Hepatoprotectors are used as special medicines to increase resistance of the liver against various pathological factors, enhance its antitoxic function, stimulate activity of enzyme systems and contribute to its functioning under various damages. Hepatoprotector Dironax synthesized in LTD. Basis (Ufa) is proposed for the treatment of hepatitis of unproductive small domestic animals. Aim of the work is to set the influence of Dironax on the growth and development of geese and liver. Authors studied preventive efficacy of Dironax on productive animals. Studies were carried out on goslings of white Hungarian breed in age from 1 to 6 months. Dironax in a dose of 5 mg/kg of body weight was included in addition to the diet of the experimental group of poultry. Preparation was given in the form of feeding, starting from the 1st month to the 6th month old. Authors found positive influence of preparation on growth intensity of body weight of goslings. Relative increase in the test group was 71% higher than the control to 6%. More intensive growth of liver was noted in the experimental group of goslings. Thus, use of Dironax as a feed additive actively promotes growth and development of liver during the first month of use, which leads to an intense increase in body weight geese hereinafter.
