Summary. Thyroid hormones have an important role in the regulation of metabolism in the body. Deficiency or excess of thyroid hormone affects in the biochemical profile of animals. We have found that the free fractions of thyroid hormones correlated with biochemical indices of blood responsible for protein, fat metabolism, the liver, with the macro-and micronutrients. There is also evidence showing a high dependence levels of thyroid hormones with biochemical parameters in beef cattle.

Keywords: correlation, hypothyroidism, 3-iodinethyronine, thyroxine, biochemistry, dairy cows, beef cattle.
