Summary
African swine fever presents the most serious threat to pig breeding, inflicting huge economic damage to the industry. Data on study of the African swine fever in Krasnodar region are presented in the article.
Epizootic situation on ASF in Krasnodar region in recent years is stable heavy. Dynamics of the epizootic process of ASF has a clear seasonal pattern. 70 outbreaks of African swine fever were registered from November 2008 to November 2012. It is established that ASF outbreaks in Krasnodar region are registered both in private farms and pig farms of closed type, and also in wildlife.
