Summary. Data on the results of assessing the sensitivity of the set of reagents for the diagnosis of aeromonosis of fish by PCR in ‘real-time’ mode in comparison with the classical bacteriological analysis on nutrient media in the study of pathological material selected from experimentally infected with Aeromonas spp. bacteria are presented in the article. In the early stages of the disease, before the development of clinical signs, diagnosis by PCR-RV using the developed set of reagents was inferior in sensitivity to the classical method of bacteriological analysis on nutrient media. However, at the peak of the disease, the sensitivity of the PCR-RV method was higher in comparison with the classical method.
Keywords: fish, bacterial diseases, fish aeromonosis, diagnostics, polymerase-chain reaction, real-time PCR.
