Summary. The large main vessels of the heart were studied in Arab breed foals in the early postnatal period of ontogenesis, which are the main vessels that provide blood flow to the tissues of the whole organism and carry out its outflow from the tissues. It was established that in foals of the Arabian breed of 1-day-old age, the main main vessels coming out of the heart are: the aorta, the pulmonary trunk, and the cranial and caudal vena cava are included in the organ. The main largest vessel that goes to the blood supply of all organs and tissues of the body is the aorta. Topographically, the aorta can be divided into an arch and a thoracic aorta. At the exit from the heart, it has a bulb with an outer diameter reaching 29.40 mm, then the vessel tends to decrease the outer diameter, reaching 20.10 mm. It was determined that in 1-day-old foals, the arterial (Botall) duct was preserved, which connects the pulmonary trunk with the aortic arch, having an outer diameter of 10.50 mm, and its length reaches 20.00 mm, while the outer diameter of the pulmonary trunk significantly exceeds its outer diameter by almost 3 times, and the outer diameter of the thoracic aorta is larger than the outer diameter the ductus arteriosus is only doubled. Based on this, it follows that the aorta, the pulmonary trunk, are the main vessels coming out of the heart and have the largest outer diameter. Cranial and caudal vena cava, which are vessels that provide blood flow from organs and tissues to the heart. The cranial vena cava in 1-day-old foals, which is a relatively short trunk, has a slightly larger diameter than the caudal vena cava, which drains blood from the back of the trunk and pelvic limbs.
