Resistance and antioxidant defense of replacement sows, receiving natural metabolites

Urban G.A.

Summary

Impact of natural metabolites, which gave replacement pigs in a period of growth from 6 to 9 months of age, condition of the natural resistance, lipid peroxidation and the intensity of the system of antioxidant protection of the organism is examined in the article. 4 groups of animals were formed on the principle of pairs-analogues: 1st – control group, 2nd – experimental group (pigs were fed with organic selenium), 3rd – experimental group (pigs were fed with succinic acid), 4th – experimental group (pigs were fed with microbiological beta-carotene). Feeding and content of all groups were the same.

Replacement sows treated during the growing with succinic acid and organic selenium were the most stable and prepared for the impact of adverse external factors.

Key words: replacement sows, natural metabolites, resistance, antioxidant protection, mineral supplements, lipid peroxidation.
