Summary. The purpose of the study was to study the dynamics of the effectiveness of anti-rabies measures in a specific metropolis. The work used a comprehensive epizootological approach (analysis), methods of evidence-based epizootology and epizootological diagnostics, modern prognosis and statistical quality control. under specific conditions of place and time. The objects of research were: populations of agricultural and domestic non-productive animals, nosounits of infectious pathology of animals (rabies), their epizootic foci and disadvantaged points, statistical reviews, journals of registration and reporting of veterinary services on infectious pathology of animals, results of laboratory studies. Using digitalization of evidence-based epizootology and statistical quality control, the dynamics of anti-rabies measures and their contribution to biological safety were studied. Using an integrated epizootological approach and the methodology of evidence-based epizootology, we studied the degree of epizootological risk of rabies infection in the metropolis, the dynamics of antirabies measures and their contribution to the biological safety of the study area. We established an increase in the coverage of members of the population with planned diagnostic anti-epizootic measures (clinical examination, quarantine) in cases of suspected epizootic manifestation of rabies infection among companion animals in a metropolis (Nizhny Novgorod). Thus, the number of quarantines of dogs in 2022 increased by 16.6%, and the quarantine of cats by 2.6 times. The number of vaccinated companion animals and stray dogs in urban areas has also increased manifold. It was confirmed that in all areas of anti-epizootic measures (diagnostic studies, preventive vaccination) there is an increase in the coverage of populations of domestic non-productive and farm animals and birds, which is a factor in reducing the biological danger to people (epidemic projection of rabies infection) and animals.
