Summary. In veterinary medicine, studies on the determination of the sensitivity of microorganisms, including various strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to antibiotics are among the priority directions, since they allow the development of the most effective schemes for the prevention and treatment of pseudomonosis in different sex and age groups of pigs. However, the use of various antibacterial agents and, first of all, antibiotics in pig farming, without preliminary studies to determine the sensitivity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains to antibiotics, is one of the main reasons for the circulation of resistant strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on pig farms of the region. The article presents the results of studies on the detection of resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains isolated from animals on pig farms to antibiotics. In the study, antibiotics of various groups with both bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties were used. In the course of the studies, it has been found that the most effective antibiotics for isolated strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were fluoroquinolones, semisynthetic penicillins, as well as aminoglycosides and antibiotics of the cephalosporin series. The results of the research allow us to consider these antibiotic groups as one of the promising for this infection in pig farming.

Keywords: Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains, piglets, sows, antibiotics, fluoroquinolones, cyclic polypeptides, penicillins, aminoglycosides, cephalosporins, nutrient media, culture-and-morphology and biochemical properties, disco-diffusion method, antibiotic resistance, pig farms.
