Summary. Vibriosis is the large scale bacterial disease of fishes, shellfishes, crustacean, grown in the saltish and sea water. Increasing production volumes and, accordingly, fish-holding densities and the number of commercial units in local water areas cause the growing pressing of pathogenic microorganisms, lately causing epizootic diseases. Same factors do not allow to perform the 100% antibiotic therapy of the whole livestock, what causes the development of the antibiotic resistance of circulating strains, as well as reiterate onsets of epizootic diseases. The world practice of fighting against vibriosis consists in the blanket vaccination, for which nowadays many methods have been developed: baths, oral application, injections. This article comprises materials on the vaccine use against vibriosis at the commercial farm. Series of field experiences have established that bacterin baths are not efficient enough; the adjuvant enhances the protection up to 90-97% of the fish livestock, but has got shortages as well, for example, the oil adjuvant is poorly tolerated by fishes due to the local inflammatory reaction.
For the industrial production it is recommended to select components, combining the decent protection level, but not causing such side effects as the aluminium hydroxide.
Key words: disease of salmon fish, rainbow trout, vibriosis, vibrio, vaccine, virulence, immunogenicity, biologics, antigen activity, adjuvant.
