Summary. Previously it was shown that Gamavit induced increase in the somatotropic hormone (STH) blood level in calves. Authors studied Gamavit influence on the STH blood level in lambs and piglets. Studies were carried out in the farms of Saratov region on newborn lambs of the Stavropol breed and Landrace piglets at the age of 5 days with a live weight of 2.5 kg. Gamavit was injected to lambs at a dose of 0.5 ml / kg of body weight intramuscularly every 7, 14 and 21 days after birth; piglets – in the same dose three times in the 5th, 7th and 9th day of life in a day in the evening. During the experiment, significant changes in the dynamics of hematological parameters and leukogram lambs injected with gamavit were not observed. Using enzyme immunoassay we showed that in lambs Gamavit i.m. injection at a dose of 0.5 ml per 1 kg of live weight upon 7, 14 and 21 days after birth led to the increase of STH blood level up to 11.7 – 13.1 mMU/l (compared with 6.7 mMU/l in control) in 2 – 3 weeks. In the newborn piglets 3 injections of Gamavit at the same dose led to 2.7-times increase of STH blood level. At the age of 28 days the gain of live body weight in piglets treated with Gamavit was about 600 g per 1 head in comparison with the control.
