Summary. Authors studied possibility of use of prebiotic feed additive Hydrogemol for prevention of sharp intestinal diseases at newborn calves and piglets. Experiments were carried out on the farms of Krasnodar region in pigs and cattle. Hydrogemol in the dose of 200 ml was given to sows of experimental group 2 times a day with fodders for 7 days before and 7 days after farrow. Hydrogemol was given to cows of experimental group only prior to calving with feed mix 2 times a day for 10 days in a dose of 500 ml. Hydrogemol was injected from the syringe in the dose of 5 ml to piglets born to sows of experimental group, from the first day for 3 days. Hydrogemol with milk was given 2 times a day in the dose of 50 ml to calves born from cows of the experimental group within 10 days after birth. Animals of control group were intact, they were on the main diet and did not receive additionally any drugs or feed additives. Blood and feces of piglets and calves were examined at the 5th and 10th day after birth, respectively. Observations showed that appetite of cows and sows treated with hydrogemol and eatability of fodders improved. Gynecological and metabolic diseases were not registered in test groups. According to studies authors proved that hydrogemol effectively affects the formation of intestinal microbiota of newborn calves and piglets by stimulating the development of their symbiotic microflora with simultaneous elimination of the population of E. coli, streptococci, staphylococci and clostridia pathogenic forms. Positive changes in the intestinal microflora in the newborn occurred under the influence of hydrogemol favorably affected the homeostasis of the organism, which showed a decrease in the incidence and intensity of animal growth increased.
