USE OF FEED ADDITIVE MYCOCEL IN QUAIL BREEDING

Summary. Data on the research of the efficiency of Mycocel in quail breeding are presented in the article. Introduction of the feed additive in quail’ fodder stimulates metabolism in birds. Feed additive with cellulolytic properties obtained by solid fermentation of a strain of the fungus Trichoderma lignorum 81-17 mixture in a thin layer of sunflower husk and wheat bran. Represents brown, dry powder, insoluble in water, not toxic. It was found that the use of Micocel increased productivity by 4.1-13.5% and reduced feed intake per 1 kg of body weight per 3.8-8.2%. Number of erythrocytes in the blood increased by 1.5-5.7%, leukocytes – by 4.9-13.1%, thrombocyte – by 1.6-5.9%, hemoglobin level – by 11.2-16.8%. Use of 0.5% Micocel increased digestibility of protein and fat by 33.2% and 10.7%, respectively, improved recovery of nitrogen by 8.5%, calcium and phosphorus – by 3.7%. Studied feed additive significantly increased the nonspecific resistance of quail. Thus, the yield of quail carcasses increased by 3,7-16,1%, and the amount of fat in the body decreased by 6.6%. Economic effect of the use of mixed fodder containing feed additive Mycocel was 1455.0 – 6365.0 rub. per 1000 head. The highest level of profitability (36.4%) was received at the use of 0.5% Mycocel.
